Pictures taken from my late father Brian Weston's photo diary. Illustrating his time in the east while working as an engineer for the RAF. I love the classic 50's style.
David Bowie circa '76 in his 'Thin White Duke' period. The year he released the fantastic 'Station to Station' and starred in Nicolas Roeg's 'The Man Who Fell To Earth'.
The soft tailoring and clean lines as well as the Sci-Fi theme would be a strong trend for SS11.
I'm really enjoying the Prada ad campaign for their Spring/Summer 10 Menswear collection. The stills are taken from a short film shot by the artist and photographer Yang Fudong. The black and white film is shot against an irresistible Shanghai backdrop and features crisply tailored suits and a lot of mesh detailing. The umbrella's are amazing!
